Square Soja Jovanovic

Urban nature is the project of city square, on the corner of Njegoševa and Maksima Gorkog street in Belgrade, in front of administration building of Kalenic market, size 350m2.
Arrangement was carried out using street furnishing elements, such as water elements, lighting, new paving, greenery, benches. These elements shape a new, urban-defined and distinctive urban area.

The project is the entry portal into the green market Kalenic. As this market connecting people on Vracar, because it is not just a town market, but a meeting place for discussion and socializing, so this square symbolically represents this connection, combining all the elements of furniture into a unity.

Design elements are linked together in continuous line, which is going from pavement to the bench, fowerpot, water wall, a trash can, going back to the paving. In front of the facade of the market administration building is “green panel”, wall of plants. This wall of greenery is one of the main elements of the Planning Square, in addition to being given a visual identity of this region, it would be a sign of the green market behind.
