Smojin Teatar

S

Smoje’s theatre
Spatial installation is dedicated to Miljenko Smoje, journalist, writer… Miljenko Smoje created frames that glorified common people from Dalmatian places and made them big and important.

This spatial installation glorifies his work and actions. It starts in the narrow street with his name, which leads to the small Mediterranean theatre. Spatial installation is consisted of couple of elements that frame the pedestrians and architectonical ambient – therefore they become screen or background for local cultural happenings.
The stairs become benches and underneath them – Smoje’s quotes. Small frames becomes screen or scenography for the play.

Smoje, sadly is not among living anymore, but heritage that he left become guideline for understanding human aspect of the small Dalmatian place.
