Kockica

Kockica /Cube/ is a neighborhood name for the former flower pot. It is located on the norther edge of the Savica, near the Slavonian Avenue, on a square that is surrounded with multi-storey residential buildings. The square is currently used for illegal parking. Kockica is place where children play and socialize. Authors of this intervention manage to identify this and articulate it. This place consist of two rectangular parts, smaller one, dedicated for younger children, and larger one, that preserved his primary purpose; being a small football field.

Construction work on the Kockica included consolidation of the circumferential wall, creating of a new cement base and placing of wooden benches on part of the wall. Benches are divided into several segments, which indicates variety of uses. During implementation process, workshops were held, where children as the main users, used chalk to suggest position of the games, regarding the space and the traffic intensity. The games that are offered to children, designed and treated on pavement, penetrate surrounding illegal parking lots with purpose to arise awareness of open-space playgrounds, as well to point out necessity for their existence.
